Scottish World Tartan Register No. 3172
Commissioned by Arsenal Scotland Supporters Club for supporters worldwide, the Arsenal District tartan combines the club’s original dark cherry red strip which was worn in their last season at Highbury 2005-6, with the traditional red and white.

The President of the ASSC is the legendary Arsenal double-winning goalkeeper Bob Wilson who, with wife Meg, was co-founder of the Willow Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 through the provision of special days.

The Willow Foundation was  nominated as Arsenal FC’s Charity of the Year for 2006-2007, in this Arsenal’s first year in the Emirates Stadium, and the ASSC have arranged with the International Tartans that a percentage of sales of Arsenal District tartan products should go to the Foundation.

At the launch both Manager Arsene Wenger and Club Captain Thierry Henri expressed the hope that supporters would give their wholehearted support to this worthwhile cause.

It is really fantastic that you have progressed with the Arsenal District Tartan.
Mike Harmer, Arsenal Supporter
