David McGill has produced tartans, some by special request, for, amongst others, Norway - The Norwegian Centennial Tartan. The tartan was designed to illustrate the centenary of the independent state of Norway in 1905, as a gift to the people of Norway. The colours of the tartan combine the colours in both the flags of Norway and Scotland.

From initial design meeting through to producing some sample scottish tartan fabric took approximately 3 weeks.
