Borderlands

The colours of this tartan are emblematic of the beautiful, wild countryside that links the Kingdoms of Scotland and England. The tartan was designed with vibrant colours depicting the aspirations for the shared cultures of the Anglo-Scots who straddle both sides of the Border across the 4 regions of South of Scotland and North England. The tartan was the result of a collaboration between women makers and textiles artists living across the regions of Northumberland, Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.
